Ok, someone teach me how to do this ASAP! This guy, Chris Akrigg, has some serious skill. Besides the fact that I would probably die in a matter of minutes if I tried to recreate his talent, I think this is amazing. I am in a spin class at Dedman Rec Center and I love it. However, those bikes are stationary, we aren't doing impossible tricks, and our lives are not at stake.
Whenever I see stuff like this it makes me want to get up off my butt and do something. I think it is so easy to want to do something and then never do it. I am definitely guilty. All talk and no action. We all make excuses. We blame our busy schedules, there's not enough time in the day, we're scared, we're not good enough, blah, blah, blah. Well, screw excuses. You are good enough, there is time, and you know you want to do it anyway, right? So stop putting off the things you want to do and just do them. (Anyone else just think of Nike commercials?) One of the best feelings is at the end of the day when you know that you pushed yourself to the limit and that you accomplished something you didn't think you would be able to. Here in America we pretty much have the world at our fingertips, there are endless opportunities, we just have to take the first step.
"We are all inventors, each sailing out on a voyage of discovery, guided each by a private chart, of which there is no duplicate. The world is all gates, all opportunities." Ralph Waldo Emerson
